You should stop at Fentons before you leave..
Thanks for that. We are on our way to a hardware store to look at it and fix. Edwin is driving right now but we’ll let you know what we did
Great meeting you last night. Kati
Fort Bragg—https://www.roundmans.com/. Best bacon!!!
We missed it but maybe on the way back
Thanks Bart, we got the comment while we were there just not enough reception to respond.
1. Have beer spray. We did see 3 grizzlies, but just up on the hill. Thankfully didn’t have to use it.
2.missed it, but will look that up for future.
3.didn’t make it there either, but will look more into it because I love that area and so prob going back in spring.
4. Fish creek campground did look nice, but no behemoth RVs allowed 🙁 , only tents… only at apgar campground could we fit which is right at the entrance by west glacier. But Edwin did score us an awesome campground closest to the lake. So we were just happy to be in the park and not at a gross RV park (which we have yet to have to stay at)
5.we love whitefish, just about everything about it. Will go back in spring and do more mountain biking. It was raining on/off while there.
6. Missed the astronomy programs. they ended at Labor Day, but we did go to many Other great ranger programs.
Thanks for writing, I appreciate it and I like reading. You guys are always on our minds somewhere…even somehow bought Tucker a little souvenir that we’ll have to drop off some time this week. (Just flew in tonight for grandmother funeral/birthday celebration on Thursday)
Thanks Bart, goodnight.
Thanks Ed. We may be back for the holidays, so may do it around then. Kati
I hear ya…its been 23 degrees in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons at wake up. Ready for the warm weather. 🙂
I’m getting cave educated :). I assumed Carlsbad caverns was in CA, not New Mexico :). The Lehman cave was pretty neat in big basin np. both wind cave and jewel cave in South Dakota are closed. Both have elevators down. But Edwin due to his size 🙂 is not the biggest fan of caves. Looking forward to the mammoth caves as well.
Margot’s an approved visitor 🙂
We’ve been up in Truckee for the last 2 weeks and finally got back on the road. We are in kings canyon national park here in California and its a really cool spot. Def want to come back in the spring or summer when we can play in the river.
We have been tracking your trip across the country. So glad you are in NM. Did you get a chance to visit Rio Chama, Georgia O’Keefe’s studio in Abiquiu?
Rose (Kiley’s owner and Daisy’s friend)
Thanks rose. And thanks for the info about Georgia o’keefe. We checked it out, but unfortunately most of her work is shipped out this month to another gallery. But thanks for the tip 🙂
